So, here is a thread that will expand on INDIVIDUAL paradigm plots, thus a final post will tie in all plots together.
X-Men
The past few years have been constant battling for Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The battle at the Statue of Liberty, the underground mutant lockup facility, and the final battle that ensued between Human Civilization and Mutants. When a cure is created, which apparently can turn any mutant into a normal human being, there is outrage amongst the mutant community. Whilst some mutants do like the idea of a cure, including Rogue, many mutants find that there shouldn't be a cure. Magneto, who still believes a war is coming, recruits a large team of mutants to take down Warren Worthington II and his cure. Might seem easy for the X-Men to stop, but Magneto has a big advantage, which Wolverine doesn't have. Jean Grey has returned, and joined with Magneto. The Phoenix has woken within her.
The battle occurs, ending in many mutant deaths-Including Jean Grey (and other minor mutants). The lives of Professor Xavier and Scott Summers were also taken. But it would seem that the professor is still alive somewhere, but where? No one really knows.
The school, itself, you'd think would have come to shambles with the deaths and the war, but things end in peace between Mutants and Humans, for now anyway. Ororo Monroe, better known as Storm, has taken role over the School and is looking for assistance in filling teaching positions and mentors for the Gifted Youngsters. She also needs someone who can aid in the finding of newer mutants and gaining their trust to come experience a life in learning about their abilities, how to control them, and how to protect themselves. Of course, the "side" is completely chosen from will when the student becomes of age to make their own decisions, but of course, their option is always open to leave or stay.
