Life has crept up and totally bitch slapped me of late. I have the seemingly endless chaos of my upcoming nuptials at the end of May (that thanks to my procrastinating fiance has just NOW been set into motion because I refused to do anything else about it until he booked the resort and airfare to ensure we'd have those dates), end of school stuff for my son who's transitioning to high school, end of school concerts and awards banquets and stuff, PLUS working insane overtime due to someone quitting unexpectedly here at work. (Oh and don't EVEN get me started on work. It's been insane with all the stupid NCAA madness and idiots setting crap on fire in town to celebrate) To give you an example I get approximately 1 day off each week to cram in cleaning my house, doing laundry, shopping (grocery, household, wedding dress!!, etc..), doctor's appointments, and trying to get together all the paperwork I need for the trip and wedding including a passport. I'm working 112 hrs per pay period. So needless to say I'm utterly exhausted these days and that doesn't really lend itself to any kind of creativity or muse and usually ends up with me staring blankly at a screen and drooling as my eyelids begin to droop in an attempt to sleep.
Hopefully this will resolve itself soon and things get back to normal and allow me the opportunity to at LEAST be able to catch my breath and be able to jump on while at work and get back to posting. As things have been it's been pretty much non-stop here at work for the entire 12 hrs during the shift. Just typing the first paragraph of this message (thank God for having started it out in a Notepad!) it has taken about 3.5 hrs. Every time i start another call comes in. Nature of the job. It's usually all or nothing and you are a slave to that telephone and radio. So my apologies to all and I wish I'd have been able to hop on sooner to give notice but honestly I did not anticipate all this exploding and happening at the same time. I haven't flaked or abandoned I promise (actually posts are what I let my mind wander to as well as possible plots on the drive into and from work). I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things because I'm really missing my creative outlet and jonesing for some RP.
